Attention 2009 American Royal Barbecue Competitors and Guests...We are bringing back The Royal Tour!
Due to overwhelming requests for the past several years, the American Royal Barbecue has instituted the long-awaited “Royal Tour.” The Royal Tour consists of several one-hour tours around the Royal Barbecue with each tour visiting various teams preparing different meats and using different cooking techniques. Our 2008 season was a huge success with our participating teams and our special guests. We hope to grow the event this year to include more people.
The tours will be led by knowledgeable representatives who will be on-hand to guide guests through the maze of teams.
The Royal Tour participants will be local VIPS, radio and television personalities, as well as other members of the community. The idea is to further develop the reputation of the American Royal Barbecue and showcase the best barbecue chefs in the country as they compete in nation’s largest event of its kind. If you or someone is interested as a Royal Tour participant, please contact us at bbq@americanroyal.com by August 7th, 2009.
Hosting chefs will take ten to fifteen minutes to briefly explain as many of their “secrets” as they are willing to share, and/or offer a taste or two of their delectable creations. Those on the tour will be interested in cooking techniques, starting the perfect charcoal fire, rubs, sauces, sides, and preps. It is not necessary to host more than once, though teams may have that opportunity if they are interested. If you are interested in hosting on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning, please contact us bbq@americanroyal.com by Friday, August 7th with your availability.
Any and all teams are invited and encouraged to participate. The size and/or level of experience are not factors. Simply, we are looking for teams who are willing to give barbecue lovers a behind-the-scenes look at American Royal competitors.
Teams will be chosen at the sole discretion of the American Royal staff, and unfortunately, not all applicants will be able to participate. Preference will be given to early applicants.
Good luck, and we hope to see you on The Royal Tour! |
