Local Music Festival Bands

Friday Night

DJ Casey Arnold - Since he was a young boy Casey Arnold has been on the stage involved with music. He started by playing drums at age 13 in a local country Opry. There he perfected his chops and then moved on to playing in a cover band with members of his family. They played in various clubs in the Northwest Missouri area. At the same time he was helping his dad DJ wedding receptions, clubs and other events. As a result he was schooled in every decade of classic dance music and learn to read a crowd. Casey brings over a decade of experience to the dance floor and knows how to energize any event.

Goddesses of Rock - Imagine attending a concert where the marquee reads NOW PLAYING:  HEART, MADONNA, PAT BENATAR, JOAN JETT, JANIS JOPLIN, LADY GAGA, ETC.............   What an event that would be!  Now that can happen for everyone! We have combined three dynamic female vocalists along with one of the premiere bands in the United States to form GODDESSES OF ROCK.  Now, you have a chance to see and hear your favorite rock goddesses of the past 50 years. Watch as each vocalist transforms into one of your favorite artists and performs their hits that have turned them into true goddesses of rock.  This is a must see show for everyone from 8 to 80 years old.

Disco Dick & The Mirror Balls - Disco Dick & The Mirror Balls bring the 70's back to life in three sets of the best music ever unleashed. With a "Tongue-in-cheek" approach, the band declares it's allegiance to the boogie lifestyle with such mega-grooves as "Shake Your Booty", "Love Rollercoaster" and "Superfreak". Their efforts have gained them enormous popularity in a relatively short period of time.

Saturday

Hudson Drive - Hudson Drive is a premier country band hailing from Kansas City, Missouri. Comprised of accomplished local artists, Hudson Drive is sure to entertain. Not shy to the big stage, they have opened for Thompson Square, Casey Donahew, and have played music festivals alongside Chase Rice, Rodney Atkins, Wade Bowen, Clare Dunn and more. Featured on Fox 4 Kansas City Morning News, The Big 94.5 Country in Topeka, KS, and 106.5 The Wolf, Hudson Drive is one of the fastest growing bands in the Midwest. Their playlist covers today’s best country along, their own take on classic hits from legendary artists, and Hudson Drive originals.

Amanda Fish - Amanda Fish began as a singer songwriter in late 2012, refining her original material as a solo act for 2 years before she formed her band in early 2014, a Roots Rock and Soul quintet featuring dual slide and rock guitars and Amanda's signature 'from-the-gut' vocals locked into a sturdy groove. In 2015, she released her first LP, "Down In The Dirt", on VizzTone Label Group, for which she was awarded the 2016 "Sean Costello Rising Star" Blues Blast Music Award. Amanda and her band set Beale Street on fire in the 2017 International Blues Challenge Semi Finals, playing new material slated for her next release.

Old Barbarions - The Old Barbarians is a Kansas City Rock ‘n Roll cover band that began performing in 2009. Its original members came from area bands like the Rolling Stones’ tribute The Licks, original acts Broken Toys and Nightcruise, and other cover acts Orange Picks 7 and Jackson Bonz. There have been a few personnel changes over the years, but the lineup includes guitarist Cliff Gall, drummer Jack Ackerly, and vocalist Tom Rush – also members of the alternative rock cover band Last Bus To Mars. Guitarist & keyboard player Tim Duncan and bassist Wayne Swisher round out the barbarian horde. Members of the group have shared the stage with the likes of Bobby Keys (saxophonist of Rolling Stones’ fame) and Shawn Pelton (Saturday Night Live’s drummer and “first call” studio recording artist). The Old Barbarians first appeared at the American Royal World Series of Barbecue in 2012 when they helped team Hawg Pen (former American Royal Grand Champions) take home the coveted “Party of the Year” banner. They’ve been playing Hawg Pen’s soiree every year since. “We are proud to be a part of the American Royal tradition and are particularly thrilled to perform on this year’s main stage.. even if we’re still recovering from the previous night’s party extraordinaire.”

Outlaw Jim & the Whiskey Benders - Jim Eaton has lived in Colorado, New Orleans, and Nashville, after being born and raised in the Northlands of Kansas City. The band is now based out of Platte County. They travel extensively in the Midwest and South, playing festivals, concerts, private events, as well as the beloved honky-tonks along the way. The Whiskey Benders have played the Grand Ole' Opry Plaza Parties in Nashville, as well as the famous venues on lower Broadway. In Kansas City, they have opened for Aaron Tippin, John Michael Montgomery, Blake Shelton, Josh Gracin, and Carolina Rain. Playing sing-along favorites and a unique list of original songs, many are comparing Jim Eaton to the original outlaws, but with a flare all his own.

Revelation - There are tribute bands and then there are TRIBUTE bands. “Revelation: A Tribute to Journey” started from a hard driving 80's influenced Kansas City rock band called "JOKER". After playing the bar scene, lead singer Danny Wayman decided to form a tribute to one of his favorite bands "JOURNEY". Danny, with his amazing vocal ability perfectly emulates the vocal style of STEVE PERRY. "Revelation: A Tribute to Journey" was born. With the Thunder of Colin Hinkley on drums, Nate Holt providing the sounds on keyboards and vocals, John Anderson with the energy of driving bass and also providing voice as another lead vocalist, David Williams who amps up the sound with his electrifying work on lead guitar, rounds out this amazing tribute band.
