The 2018 American Royal World Series of Barbecue will once again bring back the festival to the world's largest barbecue competition with live music, delicious BBQ and local food, beer and cocktail gardens, and a BBQ marketplace authentic to Kansas City and BBQ enthusiasts. Plus, with a full line up of kid’s activities the Barbecue will have fun and entertainment for all ages.

Gates on Friday will open at 3:00pm. All guests must purchase a single entry ticket to enter the grounds.

On Saturday, September 15, the American Royal will honor active and retired members of our armed forces. During the day, Prairie Fresh Pork and Operation BBQ Relief (OBR) will be feeding our honored military guests (while supplies last). Find them along Pit Road at the OBR Semi-Trailer.

The Kansas City Automotive Museum is partnering with the American Royal to produce a classic car show to be held Saturday, September 15 from 11:00am - 3:00pm at the Kansas Speedway during the World Series of Barbecue®. The car show will be located along Pit Road and will feature approximately 200 cars from the Kansas City area. Access into the car show is free with admission into the Barbecue. Awards will be given at 3:15pm on the main stage.
