The American Royal Neighborhood Schools Program brings the farm and ranch into the Kansas City classroom, and takes students out of the classroom for fun, eye-opening experiential learning that only the American Royal can deliver. Where our food comes from and who shapes the future of agriculture are vital issues for young people and their communities. That’s why we’re committed to being the Heartland's leading promoter of American agricultural education and values.

For participants, the American Royal will …

  • Underwrite classroom curriculum in collaboration with the Missouri Farm Bureau and the Ag in the Classroom program
  • Help cover the costs of experiential learning for your students:
    • CALF Days (Children’s Agriculture Learning Fest) in June
    • School Tours and Youth Rodeo in September
    • Hunter/Jumper Horse Show in October (or horse show of the school’s choice during the American Royal season)
    • “Sheriff Terry” school assembly on ROYAL Character and the cowboy way, Spring or Fall
  • Costs are covered, including transportation, up to $5,000
