Joe Mackey Memorial Scholarship

The JOE MACKEY SCHOLARSHIP is awarded to the Junior rider who accumulates the most points during the American Royal Hunter/Jumper Show  in the Junior Working Hunter classes, Pony Working Hunter classes, Children's Working Hunter classes, Hunt Seat Equitation classes, Medal classes, Children’s /Adult  Jumper classes, Amateur-Owner/Junior Jumper classes, and in any other classes which are restricted to Junior Riders                                                                        

Saddle Horse Show

The American Royal awards Equestrian Scholarships to riders that compete in the Saddle Horse Show. Applicants must be junior exhibitors (showing as 17 and under). This scholarship is funded through the Saddle Horse Show Committee.

Quarter Horse Show

The American Royal Quarter Horse Show has established a scholarship for youth Quarter Horse Show exhibitors.  This Scholarship is open to young adults (17-21 years of age) who participate in the American Royal Quarter Horse Show and who will be attending a university, college, junior college or trade school during the current school year.  Applicants may already be enrolled in an institution of higher learning and still be eligible for this scholarship.  Applicants will be judged on academics, outside work experience, volunteer activities and extra-curricular activities.

Cutting  Horse Show

The American Royal awards a scholarship to riders that compete in the Cutting Horse Show. Applicants must be junior exhibitors (showing as 17 and under). This scholarship is funded through the Cutting Horse Show Committee.

Youth and Open  Horse Show

The American Royal awards an Equestrian Scholarships to riders that compete in the Youth Horse Show. Applicants must be junior exhibitors (showing as 17 and under). This scholarship is funded through the Youth Horse Show Committee.
