The school tours program is built to educate students in the 2nd through 4th grades and consists of an educational tour and the
Invitational Youth Rodeo. With many old favorites and new additions that will delight both students and teachers alike, there is something for everyone at the American Royal! Your group will love getting up-close to the animals in the ADM World of Agriculture, the Mobile Dairy Classroom, and of course the wild ridin' action of the rodeo! Mobile Dairy Classroom
Who needs the milkman when you can have the whole cow delivered to your front door? The 26-foot Mobile Dairy Classroom features fully operational milking parlors complete with a live cow. School children throughout the mid and southwest have had the benefit of learning about the importance of dairy products in a young person’s diet as well as the time and care that it takes to get milk from the cow to their local grocery store from the Mobile Dairy Classroom. Pizza Roundup
Introduced in 2011, we are proud to bring back the popular Pizza Roundup! Have you ever wondered how a pizza is made and where each ingredient comes from? Did you know that produce in the United States travels an average of 1,300 miles? Pizza Roundup connects the process and importance of production and agriculture to one of the world’s most popular foods! Students will be educated on many important aspects from our Pizza Roundup such as:
- How a pizza is made
- What ingredients are used
- Where the ingredients come from
- How the ingredients are made
- How the ingredients are grown
Students will be excited and intrigued as they are encouraged to think about the pizza process as a whole from the ground to the oven!
Petting Zoo
Stop by the Petting Zoo during your visit to the American Royal. Not only will you be able to interact with farm animals, but you can also see a wide range of exotic animals. Ranging from camels to zebras to the popular giraffe, the Petting Zoo is sure to please anyone.
