Once again, barbecue will reign supreme in Kansas City as the American Royal celebrates its 25th Annual Barbecue Sauce Contest this fall! Not only will winners be touted as a Blue Ribbon winner at the American Royal World Series of Barbecue® but possibly the Best Sauce on the Planet! Bragging rights couldn't be bigger! The Sauce Contest is open to anyone with a sauce that is available commercially and who is proud of it!
Sauces will be judged in the following categories: Tomato Hot, Tomato Mild, Vinegar, Mustard, and Specialty. If we have a category that receives less than 10 entries your entry may be moved to the Specialty category. All sauces will be judged plain and on unseasoned pulled pork.
