In 2011, the American Royal World Series of Barbecue® assumed the Barbecue Hall of Fame℠ website and assets. The Royal is excited to be home to the Barbecue Hall of Fame℠ and thrilled to host the Inaugural Induction Ceremony on October 6th during the American Royal World Series of Barbecue®!
Currently, the Barbecue Hall of Fame℠ has seven members which include industry greats Rich Davis, Fred Gould, Speed Herrig, Mike Mills, Carolyn Wells, Gary Wells and John Willingham. These outstanding honorees will be joined by this year's nominees.
Just like their predecessors, the 2012 class of inductees have demonstrated a crowning achievement in barbecue excellence! From the Business/Industry category, Henry Ford for his role in creating the charcoal briquette, from the Pitmaster category, Johnny Trigg who has been featured on TLC’s hit barbecue show, BBQ Pitmasters, and in the Celebrity category, Guy Fieri, host of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on the Food Network.
