Jim Pipkin selects American Lowline champions

On Sunday, Oct. 23, 2010, Jim Pipkin of Republic, Mo., evaluated the 90-plus entries exhibited in the American Lowline Show at the American Royal.

Exhibiting the Grand Champion Purebred/Percentage Lowline Bull was Doll House Genetics of Denison, Kan., with an April 14, 2011 calf, Doll House He’s The Talk 13624. He was also selected at the Junior Bull Calf Champion. Reserve Grand Champion Purebred/Percentage Lowline Bull was also exhibited by Doll House Genetics with Bar J Cowboy Up X52 born on April 27, 2010. Cowboy Up was first selected as the Champion Junior Yearling Bull.

Reserve Grand Percentage Lowline Bull went to Doll House Genetics with Bar J Cowboy X52.

Reserve Champion Junior Bull Calf went to FWA Steeley Dan 101Y, an April 10, 2011 calf exhibited by Rafter Key Ranch of Kiowa, Colo.

Senior Bull Calf Champion was TCS Beau’s Link, born on Sept. 1, 2010 and shown by Brad and Julie Tummons of Gallatin, Mo.

Claiming the Reserve Champion Junior Yearling Bull title was EBC Ace X74, born on March 28, 2010 and exhibited by Brad and Julie Tummons and Grassline Cattle Company of Cokato, Minn.

Champion Senior Bull was awarded TCS Beau Who 8W who was born on April 8, 2009 and owned by Brad and Julie Tummons.

The Purebred/Percentage Female Grand Champion honors were given to Doll House Genetics with Doll House Rock Star 34Y born on March 4, 2011. She was first selected as Junior Heifer Calf Champion. TCS Erica 13W born on Sept. 15, 2009 and owned by Doll House Genetics was selected as the Reserve Grand Champion Purebred/Percentage Female and the Champion Senior Heifer.

Grand Champion Percentage/Purebred Lowline Female went to Doll House Rock Star 34Y exhibited by Doll House Genetics.

Doll House Vyxin 47Y, an April 7, 2011 female, shown by Doll House Genetics was selected as the Junior Heifer Calf Reserve Champion.

Claiming the Senior Heifer Calf Champion title was EZ Sizzle 137X exhibited by Haleigh Pike of Mitchell, Neb. Her heifer was born on Dec. 2, 2010. Karla Kovac-Grier of Stewartsville, Mo., owned the Senior Heifer Calf Reserve Champion female 4R 085, born on Sept. 22, 2010.

Heaven Sent Ranch of Fayetteville, Ark., exhibited the Champion Junior Heifer born on April 10, 2010, Bar J Show Me The Way. Reserve Champion Junior Heifer went to Claire Lyons of Fort Lupton, Colo., with Xquisite born on April 11, 2010.

Champion Cow-Calf was shown by Aven Lyons of Fort Lupton, Colo., female was Whatcha Gonnado, born on May 2, 2009. Reserve Champion Cow-Calf pair was Amber, born on April 12, 2008 and shown by Karla Kovac-Grier.

Reserve Champion Percentage/Purebred Cow Calf Pair was Amber shown by Karla Kovac-Grier.

The Grand Champion Fullblood Bull title went to HH Prince Charming born on Sept. 1, 2010 and owned by Brad and Julie Tummons and Husung Farms. He was first selected as the Senior Bull Calf Champion. Outlaw James claimed the Reserve Champion title, an April 28, 2010 bull, owned by Doll House Genetics. Outlaw James first received Champion Junior Bull honors.

Grand Champion Fullblood Lowline Bull was HH Prince Charming owned by Brad and Julie Tummons and Husung Farms.

Reserve Grand Champion Fullblood Lowline Bull was Outlaw James shown by Doll House Genetics.

Little Black Angus Ranch of Mekinock, N.D., exhibited the Junior Bull Calf Champion, Zeffinator, born on March 6, 2011. Reserve Champion Junior Bull Calf went to RBL Little Jack, a March 11, 2011 calf, owned by Rocking B Farms of Needville, Texas.

Reserve Champion Junior Bull was EZ Captain Jack 1X, born on March 5, 2010 and owned by Heaven Sent Ranch and Effertz EZ Ranch.

FJL General Beauregard, a Sept. 5, 2009 bull, owned by Flying J&L Ranch of Groesbeck, Texas was named the Champion Senior Bull.

Claiming the honors of Grand Champion Fullblood Female was Hot Summer Night born on Aug. 3, 2010, exhibited by Doll House Genetics. She was also selected as the Champion Junior Heifer. MCR Her Majesty born on April 5, 2007 received Reserve Grand Champion Fullblood Female. Her Majesty was shown by Winner Maker Farms of Kiowa, Colo. and was first selected as the Champion Cow-Calf.

Winner Maker Farms exhibited the Junior Heifer Calf Champion, WMF Youki, born on May 28, 2011.  Reserve Junior Heifer Calf Champion was RBL Mary Frances, a March 22, 2011 female, shown by Rocking B Farms.

Reserve Junior Champion Heifer was Topline Sylvie, a Feb. 14, 2010 born female, owned by Haleigh Pike.

Andrew Teague of Alvin, Texas, exhibited the Champion Senior Heifer, Sunset Vicky 913W, born on Sept. 27, 2009.

JET’S Miss Boris, a March 26, 2007 female, was selected as the Reserve Champion Cow-Calf pair. She was owned by Karla Kovac-Grier.

Brad and Julie Tummons exhibited the Champion Get of Sire. Doll House Genetics exhibited the Breeder’s Best Six Head.

The American Royal, Kansas City’s longest running show, has been a Kansas City tradition since 1899.
