Quality National Maine-Anjou Show

A deep set of Maine-Anjou heifers and bulls competed on the west side of Hale Arena this afternoon.

“Not too many numbers, but extreme quality,” said judge Shane Lindsey as he selected the champion bull.

Griswold Cattle, LLC of Stillwater, Oklahoma, doubled down with Grand Champion Mainetainer Bull and Grand Champion Maine-Anjou Bull.  Adam Dryer of Carlock, Illinois, led the Reserve Champion Maintainer Bull while the Reserve Champion Maine-Anjou Bull was shown by Kendall L Bremer Cattle Company of Blakesburg, Iowa.

Moving to the junior show, judge Tom Klingner of Unionville, Missouri, selected Emily Thorson of Glenville, Minnesota, as the Grand Champion Junior Mainetainer Female and the Reserve Champion Junior Mainetainer Heifer was shown by Braelyn Berlowitz of Cushing, Oklahoma.

Klingner went on to select Dalton Line of Seaton, Illinois, as the Grand Champion Junior Maine-Anjou Female.  Then, Pacey Hawkins of Cincinnati, Iowa, had the honor to be named Reserve Champion Junior Maine-Anjou Female.

Shane Lindsey of Prairie City, Iowa, evaluated the the cattle in the Maine-Anjou Open Show.

After winning Division 5, Braelyn Berlowitz of Cushing, Oklahoma, was named Champion Maintainer Female and receiving the Reserve Champion Maintainer Female slap was Abi Henderson of Jefferson, Iowa.

The day concluded with, Maci Chamberlin of Winchester, Indiana, being named Grand Champion Maine-Anjou Female and Becca Chamberlin of Winchester, Indiana, Reserve Champion Maine-Anjou Female.
