Shorthorn’s Kick-Off American Royal Second Week

A big week of cattle exhibiting commenced with the Shorthorn Junior Heifer Show judged by Tom Klingner of Unionville, Missouri. Lillie Skiles of Dalhart, Texas, took home the title of Junior Champion Shorthorn Female and Kane Aegerter of Seward, Nebraska, claimed Junior Reserve Champion Shorthorn Female.
The Shorthorn Show continued with Brent Murphy of Houstonia, Missouri, judging the Open Show. Titles were switched with Aegerter claiming Grand Champion Open Show Female and Skiles taking Reserve Champion Open Show Female. The Open Show finished off with Rosemary Thompson of Gilman, Iowa, earning the title of Grand Champion Bull and Bill Schomberg and Sons of Pierce, Nebraska, receiving Reserve Grand Champion Bull.
