Smith and Pence Named Top Junior Market Goat Showmanship Exhibitors

The 2015 American Royal Junior Market Goat Showmanship kicked off with 74 exhibitors vying for the coveted Overall Champion Showman title.

Paige Pence from New Carlisle, Ohio, was named Champion Junior Showman with Macy Stauffer of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, as Reserve Junior Showman.

More than 30 exhibitors were in the intermediate category making for an extremely competitive division. Jett Smith from Perry, Oklahoma, was named Champion Intermediate Showman and Reserve Intermediate Showman was awarded to Kaylie Stone of Gurdon, Arkansas.

Eric Egbert of Botkins, Ohio, was named Champion Senior Showman and Reserve Intermediate Showman was awarded to Erin Johnson from Galt, California.

All of the division champion and reserve showman then competed for the overall champion showman title. The judge, Josh Taylor from Perkins, Illinois, shared how impressed he was with the level of showmanship presented. After looking through the competitors one last time, he chose Jett Smith as his Grand Champion Showman and Paige Pence as his Reserve Grand Champion Showman.
