Junior and Open Limousin Take Center Stage to Start Off the Week

Starting the second week of the 2017 American Royal was the Junior and Open Limousin Show. Great numbers and quality of females and bulls definitely shined through during the champion line-ups.

The Junior Limousin Show kicked was evaluated by judge Scott Schaake of Kansas. Taking top honors of Champion Junior Limousin Female was Maycee Ratlif, Kansas, and Reserve was exhibited by Carter Hoge, Illinois.

Following the Junior Show was the Open Limousin Show judged by Marcus Arnold of Iowa. In Arnold’s champion drive selection, he commended the Limousin exhibitors on their showmanship and the representation of the breed. Claiming the title of Champion Open Limousin Female was Carter Hoge, Illinois.

Arnold also evaluated the seven divisions of the Open Bull Show. Champion Bull was exhibited by Ranae Poole, Missouri, and Reserve was exhibited by Little Mackinaw Cattle Co., Illinois.
