Livestock Show

Celebrating its 120th year, the 2019 American Royal Livestock Show will be held Oct. 16-27 and the Junior Premium Livestock Auction will be held Oct. 20 at the American Royal Complex in Kansas City, Missouri. 2019 Premium Book will be available by May 20th.

The American Royal began its existence in 1899 as The National Hereford Show. Since that time, the American Royal Livestock Show has grown to become one of the largest livestock shows in the nation! The American Royal has developed a reputation as one of the most prestigious and toughest competitions and draws an audience of owners, breeders, future business and agriculture leaders, and animal enthusiasts from across the country.  The Livestock Show is a national show that strives to impact the future of agriculture by providing educational experiences and scholarships.

In 2018, the American Royal hosted its largest livestock show in over 10 years. Nearly 1,600 exhibitors from 35 states made the trip to Kansas City for the Royal. Throughout the two week show, over 3,400 head of the nation’s highest quality cattle, hogs, sheep, and goats were exhibited at the American Royal Complex.
