The American Royal Hunter/Jumper Horse Show Brings High-Flying Excitement the American Royal Complex

(KansasCity) – The annual American Royal Hunter/Jumper Horse Show takes place from October 12-20 in the various arenas at the American Royal Complex. The show consistsof two competitive event opportunities first with the Preview Show and followed by the A Rated Horse Show.

 

The Preview Show, taking place October 12-14, is considered an entry level horse show, offering horses and riders the opportunity to compete in a large show atmosphere while jumping elements that are appropriate to their level of experience. TheAmerican Royal Hunter/Jumper A Rated Horse Show, taking place October 16-20, is sanctioned by USEF, USHJA and FEI and awards nearly $100,000 in prize money.The show includes a nationally recognized Hunter Derby as well as two nationally renowned Grand Prix events that attract riders from across the United States and Canada.

 

One of the highlights of this show, the $25,000 Roy A. Edwards Jr. Memorial Grand Prix, is held on Saturday evening October 20 at 7:00 p.m. Nothing matches the excitement, fun and adrenaline rush of this Olympic-caliber jumping event - a showcase combining speed, athleticism and grace. Victory requires strength and stamina with flawless execution. This show fulfills the American Royal mission by offering a high-caliber competitive learning experience to exhibitors of all ages. It hosts the best of the best in the Hunter/Jumper discipline and truly challenges the exhibitors and horses. The preview show provides a competitive learning experience for those that aspire to show at the rated level shows in the future.

 

The Hunter/Jumper shows are free to the public with the exception of the October 20th Roy A. Edwards Grand Prix that requires a ticket for admission. Tickets are available through AmericanRoyal.com.
