Nomination Process

Inductee Class Nomination Process:

Nominations for the Barbecue Hall of Fame® are first sent in through our online form. Anyone may nominate an individual for this honor, but must do so through the online form below. We accept nominations for the induction year for a full calendar year from June to April. Once the submission deadline has passed, all nominations are reviewed by the BBQ HOF nominating committee to ensure all necessary information has been provided. The new nominations are added to the nominations received over the past two years. All nominations are then reviewed by the nominating committee and narrowed down to 10 semi-finalists. Lastly, all voting members review the 10 semi-finalists and vote on the top three to be inducted into the Hall of Fame for that year. Check back soon for more information on the nominating committee.

Legacy Class Nomination Process:

Nominations for the Legacy Category may be made by the general public and members of the Hall's nomination committee. The nomination committee will determine the final class of Legacy Category inductees each year. No more than four (4) individuals will be inducted into the Legacy Category in any given year.
