Elementary students from around the Kansas City area are invited to a roundup of Royal rodeo fun and educational events! The American Royal Field Trip is designed to educate students in 2nd through 3rd grade and consists of an interactive educational tour and Invitational Youth Rodeo.
As the largest American Royal education event, the Field Trip engages students at the elementary level to connect them to the science of agriculture – food, animals, and plants. As generations become farther removed from production agriculture, the American Royal Field Trip event connects students to food sources and the farmers and ranchers who produces and raise the animals and crops.
After touring educational exhibits, students gather in Hale Arena to cheer on youth rodeo contestants in the Invitational Youth Rodeo. This experience gives students the opportunity to see their peers participate in true rodeo action.
