Dr. Dan Shike of Ubana, Illinios, sorted 9 classes of high quality market steers at the 2016 American Royal Livestock Show. After selecting three division winners, he had an impressive set of final drive steers to sort. However, Shike said it was two steers that ultimately sorted their way up.

He used Macey Goretska of Iowa for Grand Champion Market Steer and Kassidy Bremer of Nebraska for Reserve Grand Champion Market Steer. Both steers wee from division 2.

Shike said he was honored to be asked to judge on the green chips in Hale Arena.
