The 2016 American Royal Livestock Show started the first Friday off with the Market Goat Showmanship, judged by Ryan Page, Parsons, Kansas.

Page sorted through his top division showmen and the overall winners. Page evaluated the showmen on both showmanship skill and knowledge. In the end, two individuals surfaced to the top. The Grand Champion Overall title went to Johnna Stottlemeyer of Oklahoma, and Kaela Cooper of California was named Reserve Champion Overall.
