Tiny But Mighty

October 22, 2019

Everyone likes to see young people walk into the arena, an animal that they have put hours upon hours of work into in tow, putting their best foot forward to hopefully leave that arena in with a blue ribbon. However, it is safe to say that most people’s favorite thing to see is the smallest, youngest kids handling their animals (some of which are much bigger than they are) with the confidence of a professional. Not only is it painfully adorable, but it also shows the discipline and responsibility that has been instilled in that child, two attributes that agricultural families hold dear. Win or lose, these kids march their animal in and out of the arena fearlessly, proud of the work they have put in to get to this show. Without these kids, the American Royal wouldn’t be the successful and entertaining show that it is.
