In Memory of Neal and Jeanne Patterson

The American Royal family is deeply saddened by the loss of Neal Patterson, former Chairman of the Board and Lifetime Director. He was truly a force that changed the direction of the organization over the past two decades. Neal’s vision for the American Royal was to embrace traditions, learn from others, and always strive to provide an unequalled environment for youth in education and agriculture.

“When Neal joined the Board of Directors in 2001, his passion and vision had an immediate impact. His leadership over the years has helped guide the organization to a firm foundation and a bright future,” said Angie Stanland, Chairman of the Board of Directors, American Royal Association.

Neal served on the Board of Directors since 2001 and was the Chairman of the Board in 2005 – 2006 and appointed a Lifetime Director in 2009. His passion for the organization stemmed from his upbringing. Neal grew up as the son of a wheat farmer in Oklahoma and paid for his college education by raising hogs. Neal had a deep passion for supporting youth pursuing agriculture careers. Neal and his wife, Jeanne, have been significant contributors to the American Royal over the years. Neal will be sincerely missed by the entire American Royal family.  Obituary
