Purple Banners Wave Across Hale Arena at the Maine-Anjou and MaineTainer Show

KANSAS CITY- On Oct. 28, the American Royal hosted the Maine-Anjou and MaineTainer open breeding animal shows. Blake Nelson of Warner, Okla., evaluated the bull and female entries that participated in these events.

Maine-Anjou Bull Show Results

The Grand Champion Maine-Anjou Bull was BPF Jaguar 5X, born on Jan. 22, 2010 and exhibited by LC Robbins LLC of Lavernia, Texas. He was the Junior Yearling Bull Champion. Reserve Grand Champion Bull was RIGD Wahoo, born on March 18, 2011 and owned by Rachel Rigdon of New London, Iowa. He was also the Junior Bull Calf Champion Division I.

Grand Champion Maine-Anjou Bull was BPF Jaguar 5X shown by LC Robbins LLC of Lavernia, Texas.

Reserve Grand Champion Maine-Anjou Bull was RIGD Wahoo owned by Rachel Rigdon of New London, Iowa.

MCF MR Ali Buffy 1050X, born on May 11, 2010, shown by Will Alexander of Linneus, Mo. and Mid Continent Farms of Washington, Kan.

MaineTainer Female Show Results

The Grand Champion MaineTainer Female went to the Summer Champion Female, Miss Daisy 123X, born on May 2, 2010, shown by Halley Becking of Florence, S.D. Reserve Grand Champion MaineTainer Female went to the Junior Yearling Champion, Miss Sophie 7X, an April 15, 2010 heifer, shown by Chyann Smith of Storm Lake, Iowa.

Grand Champion MaineTainer Female in the Open Show was Halley Becking of Florence, S.D., with Miss Daisy 123X.

Reserve Grand Champion MaineTainer Female in the Open Show was Miss Sophie 7X exhibited by Chayann Smith of Storm Lake, Iowa.

Division I Junior Calf Champion MaineTainer Female was WAC Victorious 125Y, born on May 11, 2011, owned by Will Alexander of Linneus, Mo.

Junior Calf Champion Division II MaineTainer Female went to MINN Sonya 17Y a Feb. 8, 2011 calf, exhibited by Jason Minnaert of Atkinson, Ill. Miss Maine Curly Sue, born on March 21, 2011 and exhibited by Cody Duhaime of Allerton, Iowa, was named Reserve Junior Calf Champion Division II MaineTainer Female.

LNL Xanthic 0028 owned by Rebecca Moore of Madill, Okla., was selected as the Senior Calf Champion MaineTainer Female. Her heifer was born on Sept. 16, 2010. Reserve Senior Calf Champion MaineTainer Female went to Leighton Robbins of Lavernia, Texas, with MMMF Allie 040X, born on Sept. 2, 2010.

Rachael Carlson of Plattsburg, Mo., led RRRC Miss Resolution 110, born on May 6, 2010, to claim Reserve Summer Champion MaineTainer Female.

Reserve Junior Yearling Champion MaineTainer Female was LDSC Magic Maid 410X exhibited by Mary Spencer of Gibbon, Neb.

Senior Yearling Champion MaineTainer Female went to BPF Princess 851W shown by Tracy Coonrod of Katy, Texas. The heifer was born on Oct. 28, 2009.

Maine-Anjou Female Show Results

The Grand Champion Maine-Anjou Female was Jordan Crall of Albia, Iowa, with the Summer Division Champion Female, CRLL Jessica 11X, born on May 10, 2010. Reserve Grand Champion Maine-Anjou Female was the Junior Heifer Champion Female, GOF Xanadu 363X, a March 3, 2010 heifer, exhibited by Mitchell Udell of Sioux City, Iowa.

Reserve Champion Maine-Anjou Open Show Female was Jordan Crall of Albia, Iowa with CRLL Jessica 11X.

Reserve Grand Champion Maine-Anjou Open Show Female was GOF Xanadu 363X shown by Mitchell Udell of Sioux City, Iowa.

Division I Junior Calf Champion Maine-Anjou Female went to MINN Country Girl 228Y, an April 14, 2011 calf, exhibited by Jason Minnaert of Atkinson, Ill. Reserve Division I Junior Calf Champion Maine-Anjou Female was GRIMMS MS Hard Drive 33, born on April 3, 2011 and shown by A.J. Grimm of Deep River, Iowa.

Becca Chamberlin of Winchester, Ind., exhibited the Division II Junior Calf Champion Maine-Anjou Female, GOET Miss Maggie May, born on Feb. 16, 2011. Trevor Lemmon of Amboy, Minn., owned the Reserve Division II Junior Calf Champion Maine-Anjou Female, LITL Yoshi Y101, born on Jan. 26, 2011.

BPF Chicot Maggie 49X, born on Nov. 9, 2010 was named as the Senior Calf Champion Maine-Anjou Female. Maggie is owned by Chancee Clark of Romance, Ark. BNZW Miss Cool 97X, a Nov. 7, 2010 female, was named the Reserve Senior Calf Champion Maine-Anjou Female. She was exhibited by Harley Sargent of Denison, Texas.

Reserve Summer Champion Maine-Anjou Female was JJS Miss Dix 63X, born on July 11, 2010 and exhibited by Jacob Gall of Clarkson, Neb.

Reserve Junior Heifer Champion Maine-Anjou Female was Becca Chamberlin of Winchester, Ind., with Miss Dottie, an April 16, 2010 female.
