In 2015, the American Royal is excited to offer four undergraduate college students from colleges/ universities across the United States the opportunity to serve as the American Royal Livestock Show Media Interns. During their internship, they will host a range of responsibilities from writing human interest stories, contributing to the American Royal blog and managing American Royal Livestock social media platforms to shooting candid photos and assisting breed associations with recording show results. Plus, interns will receive a $500 scholarship following the completion of their internship.

The 2015 American Royal Livestock Show Media Internship applicant pool included more than 60 talented students. This year’s Livestock Show Media Interns include: Lauren Barker (Iowa State), Dakota Thomas (South Dakota State), Katelyn Warin (Iowa State) and Emily Writer (Kansas State).
