It was a packed house at the American Royal Swine Showmanship competition where exhibitors ages 9 to 20 contended for the coveted Grand Champion Overall Swine Showmanship title. Judge, Ryan Sites from Tuttle, Oklahoma, evaluated the exhibitors on their showmanship skills and knowledge. Additionally, he asked a variety of questions from identifying other hogs by their ear notches to how to properly care for their animal. Sites commended contenders for their swine project knowledge. Sites closed the champion drive speech by expressing his confidence in the future of the swine industry. Congratulations to Reagan Langemeier of Marion, Texas, who claimed the Grand Champion Overall Swine Showman title and Blake Danner of Chalmers, Indiana, on his Reserve Grand Champion Overall Swine Showman title.
