The 2017 American Royal Livestock Show kicked off the morning with Goat Showmanship judged by Scott Sutton. With more than double the number of goat entries from previous years, today’s event made for a highly-competitive showmanship contest. Sutton evaluated the exhibitors on both showmanship skill and knowledge. He even took time to speak with the exhibitors competing, offering advice and praise. A great set of showmen competed and two elite individuals rose to the top. The Grand Champion Overall title went to Grace Day of Ohio, and Reserve Champion Overall was Julie Ann Isbell of Oklahoma.
