Official Junior Market Lamb Champions

The winner of the Grand Champion Market Lamb honor, went to Mackenzie Fruchey of Fayette, Ohio.

Samantha Raute of Carmel, Ind., showed the Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb at the 2011 American Royal.

On Sat., Oct. 22, 2011 Dr. Kelly Bruns of Brookings, S.D., evaluated the 329 market lamb entries in the American Royal Market Lamb Show.

Mackenzie Fruchey of Fayette, Ohio, exhibited the Grand Champion Market Lamb. The 147-pound animal was first named Champion Hampshire Market Lamb. Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb honors went to Samantha Raute of Carmel, Ind. Raute’s 157-pound lamb was named Reserve Champion Hampshire Market Lamb earlier in the day.

The Champion Suffolk Market Lamb, was exhibited by Alexandra Raute of Carmel, Ind., with her 148-pound entry. The reserve in the same breed was the 160-pound entry shown by Hunter Shoemaker of London, Ohio.

Luke Davis of Guthrie, Okla., exhibited the Champion Crossbred Market Lamb, who weighed in at 154 pounds. The Reserve Champion Crossbred Market Lamb was shown by Scott Dingels of Redwood Falls, Minn.
