Strong numbers and deep competition at the Maine-Anjou Show

The Maine-Anjou shows proved to be yet another deep set of heifers and bulls during today’s shows.

In the junior shows, Lillie Skiles of Dalhart, Texas, had the honor of exhibiting the Grand Champion Mainetainer Junior Heifer and Madison Udell of Sioux City, Iowa, was named Reserve Grand Champion Mainetainer Junior Heifer.

Allison Manchester of Manhattan, Kansas, exhibited the Grand Champion Maine-Anjou Junior Heifer while Ben Weis of McIntire, Iowa, took home the title of Reserve Grand Champion Maine-Anjou Junior Heifer.

For the open shows, James Gradert of Sibley, Iowa, had the big win of Grand Champion Open Mainetainer Heifer and Janel Gilbert of Greenville, Ohio, was Reserve Champion Open Maintainer Heifer.

Ben Weis of McIntire, Iowa, was named Grand Champion Open Maine-Anjou Heifer and Halley Becking of Florence, South Dakota, exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion Open Maine-Anjou Heifer.

The bull show continued the stout competition following the heifers. Bushy Park Cattle Company LLC of Highland, Maryland, claimed the Grand Champion Maine-Anjou Bull title and Reserve Grand Champion Maine-Anjou Bull was shown by Gateway Genetics of Pierce, Nebraska.
