As the American Royal winds down for livestock exhibitors, the National Hereford Show finishes it off on the west side of Hale Arena. While the numbers and quality were as high as ever, Judge Kevin Hafner had no trouble finding the ones he liked most. The Grand Champion Hereford Female went to Rylee Barber of Channing, Texas, and the Reserve Grand Champion Female went to Cassidy Hanson of Linn Grove, Iowa.

Before the selection of the champion bull, a new National Hereford Queen was crowned. Brooke Jensen of Courtland, Kansas, crowned Katie Nolles of Nebraska as the National Hereford Queen to serve in 2015.

Gary and Kathy Buchholz of Waxahachie, Texas, went on to exhibit the Grand Champion Hereford Bull and the Reserve Grand Champion Bull was bred by Jonathan Chachere of Dayton, Texas.
